My wife and I were home all week so no chance of not being here. Was supposed to be delivered Tuesday. However, the tracking information shows that driver was unable to deliver and a card was left. It wasnt. Same for Wednesday. Called the HO-staff were friendly and promised me package would be delivered that evening or next morning at latest. Next morning-still nothing. Called in-they had no records of conversation i'd had previous evening. They told me no-one could deliver today (thursday) so would be definitely be friday AM. So, so far 3 deliveries where they haven't delivered. Seemed helpful on the phone but the fact is irrelevant if they cant do the one single job they're supposed to: deliver a package.
Ordered some block salts from Harvey water softeners-have ordered same item a few times before via different courier without problem. Both boxes had been marked fragile but the boxes were in a terrible state and the contents smashed to pieces. Both boxes looked like they'd been dropped countless times despite the fragile sticker. Just glad it wasnt something valuable. When I complained to Harvey's they told me they'd switched to DPD a few months back and had no end of complaints and problems with them and would be switching back to their old courier.
Have bought various high and low value items from them such as washing machine and tablets and returned a couple. the process is always very straightforward and friendly. one item i returned was a £400 tablet. there was no quibble just told them i didnt like it. ended up buying an ipad with extended warranty from them a couple of months later and will continue buying from them in the future. they even provide 2 year warranty as standard on many electrical items for free.
We bought an entertainment unit to place our entertainment units in such as sky box and dvd player. the description stated it had adjustable shelves to fit your entertainment units in. when i assembled the item, i found i could not fit my sky box or dvd player-which are very standard items. they refused to give a refund basically saying its not their fault that not all entertainment units fit-they are basically breaking the law. do not use this company because if something goes wrong, they wont help you.
