Ordered a TV from Amazon over the weekend and paid for guaranteed next day delivery, which was Tuesday 18 December. Waited in all day, but by 5.30pm I was a little concerned so I emailed Amazon. Amazon replied a little later saying that they had contacted City Link who said it was out for delivery and I would receive it that day (by 9pm). It did not arrive. I assumed it would be received early the following day, but by midday there was still no sign of my TV. I rang City Link and it took 20 minutes before my call was answered. After being kept on hold while she checked my order, she told me that the driver had not been able to deliver all the items on the van and had had to return some to the depot. However, she told me that my TV had NOT been put on the van for delivery that day!!! She could not tell me why - all she could say is that it would be delivered before Xmas!!!! So what am I supposed to do - wait in everyday up till Xmas until City Link deign to deliver it???.
I really don't know why Amazon use them - they and Yodel are two rubbish companies who do not deserve to be in business. I don't blame the drivers, it is management giving the drivers too many parcels to deliver.
I have had several experiences with Yodel as they are one of the carriers employed by Amazon. The drivers knock on your door, put the package on the door step and get back in their van and drive away. They do not bother to check whether you are actually in. If you aren't your package is left on full view on your doorstep for anyone to help themselves to. I have complained to Amazon but they are still using them!!

The web site is easy to negotiate. I get an email reminding me when to re-order my tablets, and delivery is prompt. Highly recommended!
