I used to visit PC World weekly just to see what is new and what is becoming more affordable. In recent years the showrooms have become TV shops with computer accessories uncompetitive and sparsely stocked. Offers are limited and service options are costly. The instore staff lack enough knowledge about their products - usually one or two staff have some more knowledge.
Aldi is worth visiting just to see the wide range of goods on offer. Basic food items are highly competitive and the selection of unknown brands enhances the shopping experience. On rare occasions when I have not found unknown brands to be as good as expected they have refunded/exchanged without any fuss. Their particular strength is in everyday groceries at affordable prices. Occasional big ticket purchases are the icing on the cake.
A great way to buy delivered meals with a wide range of menus in many areas. Unfortunately some of the suppliers fail to meet their offers and the customer often doesn't know until the order arrives. I will not be using them again unless they get a grip on checking that suppliers offer what they advertise and Just Eat at least attempt to resolve issues.
Online ordering is a breeze. All logos, artwork and pictures are retained and frequent special offers mean I visit the site regularly.
The range of printed goods is extensive and the opportunity to maintain consistency is vital in marketing effectively. From calendars to business cards and stationery Vistaprint is my choice.
Online payments are risky. Most of the suppliers I deal with accept PayPal - if they don't I'm not ordering from them.
Payments are prompt, secure and traceable. Receipts are similarly prompt and traceable. I would be uncomfortable with many overseas suppliers without the protection of PayPal.
Response to order was prompt and goods despatched immediately. I ordered the wrong memory but it was no problem. Every effort was made to correct my mistake. Unfortunately it turned out that my laptop could not be upgraded to the level I wanted. Immediate offer to refund, but since the price was good I'm keeping it!
