Sorry to read about the problem with the shower valve. I have checked into your account and it does not appear that you notified us of the fault and as stated went directly to manufacturer.
I can assure you that this item is made by one of the leading manufacturers of bathroom brassware in the UK, who have such confidence in their products that they do give a manufacturers 5 year guarantee.
Without having the facts it is difficult to advise on the fault but the majority of leaks which appear soon after installation of shower valves are usually caused by debris in the pipework not been flushed-out correctly which can cause damage to the ceramic valve.
I will however check with the manufacturer to check that this is a ‘one-off’, and ask for them to report back to us with the reason for the fault.
