Whole process worked as it should

Flew from LHR to JFK, Ticket prices were good.
You are able to choose your seat after booking for no additional cost which was very useful if more than one of you is travelling together.
Online checking was easy, email reminders were a welcome touch, bag drop-off was quick.

Flight was good, more than enough food and drink and a very good choice of in-flight entertainment (Movies /TV programmes in multiple languages) .

I fly again tomorrow and are actually looking forward to it which is a good sign.


Good, if Item is in stock

Ordered 5 items in past year, 3 have been cancelled by HMV after anything from a day to 3 weeks for various reasons. (maybe I'm unlucky)
I still order from them, I'm just not too surprised if they cancel the order.

If they truly have the item in stock, you'll usually get a "It's on its way" email the next day or so and everything is nice and fast.
The letting you know the item is in the post is a good touch.

If you find a really good bargain, just don't be too surprised to get a cancel order email a few days later. The money is refund quick enough so you can buy elsewhere if needed.

Normal is good, just be careful with playtrader sellers

Play are usually good, reasonably priced and prompt in delivery.
I've used them for nearly 10 years with no real issues with purchases direct from them.

However they also operate a scheme called playtrade which allows others to sell via their website much like amazon does.
Should a purchase via that scheme go wrong, ie. seller doesn't actually dispatch anything to you or maybe 20 other people, playcom will not take an active interest or answer your queries other than with canned responses.
Eventually they will issue a refund under their FairPlay guarantee but you end up jumping through lots of hoops.
Just beware of new sellers and always chase any issues straight away.


In stock, good price and easy to ring and reserve for pickup

Just bought a new vacuum cleaner from argos.
Easy to use website, was able to quickly check stock availability for the item i wanted around my area with a couple of clicks and the reserve item service worked well. (reserve id sent to my mobile phone and email)
