After ordering a bed from Dreams It was delivered after they had rearranged twice.Men delivered bed to room and left although it is visible that I am disabled and would not be able to put the bed together. Rather rude . Anyway bed defective, after many lengthy calls to Dreams (40 mins on hold) agreed on returning the bed and a refund. Straightforward you would think, but no, enter Yodel again. The office phoned to arrange pick up. They did not know what they were collecting or for whom or that it would take two men to shift the bed., Aren't they supposed to be couriers? Driver called at 10.30 this morning to say he would be here in an hour. Now 3pm and no sign. SO, I called the driver, bearing in mind that it is 28 degrees outside, the hottest day this year and all doors and windows are open. Driver said he had come to the house but no answer!!!! The intelligent thing to do would be to call the landline he had already used to see if anyone home. now got to wait for another pick up date. Friday, hot and sunny, maybe I'm cynical but perhaps he wanted to get home early? Reading other reviews there is a distinct pattern emerging of the excuse NO-ONE AT ADDRESS! Honestly Dreams and Yodel are made for one another, Useless customer service in fact no service is a better desciption. How they continue in business is beyond me!
Only one star as No option to go negative. I bought a bed from my local store iin Llandudno on 11th January. At the end of the month i paid the balance, briinging the bed to over one thousand pounds. I have 7 prolapsed discs and need a good supportive bed and was assured that their Avebury 2000 was such a bed. The driver delivered it to the bedroom and left leaving my wife to struggle putting the bed together and getting rid of the packaging alone as I can't help. Within 2 months the mattress collapsed so I contacted Dreams ( nightmare as was on hold for half an hour!!) they said that they would send an independent assessor to see the bed. He duly arrived a few days later , took one look at the bed, said it was defective, took photos and left. Dreams then contacted us offering a replacement with an estimated delivery time of 6 weeks which I refused as I had lost confidence in their product and wished a refund. My old 12 year old Rest Assured bed is in better condition and I have returned to sleeping on that again as the Dreams bed is crippling me causing me acute pain. After trying to get an answer from them they finally agreed to a refund but -Yes you guessed it - nothing. Have emailed them and tried calling (resulting in a 40 minute wait time before I hung up) Customer service is none existent costly and time consuming. What are this company playing at? luckily I paid by credit card and am about to instruct them to reclaim my money. I will never deal with Dreams again. Buyer beware! they may have swanky adverts but the reality is anything but.
Well, an hour and a half after posting this Dreams called and agreed to a refund and collection of said defective bed. The person said that the refund will be completed in 10 to 14 working days ( why so long?) and I will be contacted re removal of bed. I would love to believe that the problem has been solved but I'm not holding my breath I'm afraid. I'll only believe it when the bed is gone and my account has been credited.
Bed supposed to be collected today. Guess what you got it, no one came. Yo0del phoned to arrange collection, they didn't know what they were collecting or for whom. Great isn't it! Van driver called at 10.30 amm saying he would be with us in one hour. Never arrived so we called him back. Said he had been to the house but no answer, didn't thinnk to call on the phone again just left apparently. Don't believe he came, friday, hot probably wanted to get home. Got to wait for another date for collection. A pattern is emerging here on reading other reviews. Yodel as a bad as Dreams.
Bed finally collected, couriers unhappy because the bed was -shock horror - upstairs, husband away for medical treatment could hardly get a kingsize bed downstairs on my own! also no packaging, why would there be? They dragged an ivory mattress down the drive OMG!!! Took me 3 attempts to call customer service (I know dpn't laugh) 1st call 18 mins -disconnected 2nd call 10 mins waiting disconnected 3rd time 14 mins then I got to speak to someone! He logged my complaint about the handling of the mattress as I don't want to be blamed for the state of the returned mattress! He said that the refund was bieng processed. Fingers crossed that that's true and there is no more hassle!
Cheque finally arrived for the full refund. Can breathe easily now as got all our mooney back. Still comfortably sleeping on the old bed
