A few weeks ago I returned home to find a "we tried to deliver" card in the door and the front gate wide open. I went on-line and scheduled a redelivery when I would be home but no delivery attempt was made so it was a wasted day. Various attempts to email receive only standard useless replies and I am still waiting for my delivery.
Seemingly Parcelforce expect people to collect parcels from their depot which in my case is about 1 1/2 hour journey (one way) - if you have means to get there. They do give options such as paying £1 to have the parcel delivered to the nearest post office but as I don't work near where we live, this is no option as its always closed when we are around. Theres also an option to pay around £6 to deliver elsewhere but why should I pay £6 when I don't know what the parcel is or even who it's from? (It could just be some junkmail maybe)
I don't think parcelforce have ANY idea about customer service - they seem to deliver only to people who are at home weekdays. I would NEVER choose to use parcelforce unless they buck up their ideas and get real!
I ordered a pair of bifocal sunglasses, wanting them for my holidays in a few weeks time. The ordering process was faffy - the webside system couldn't cope with a prism on my prescription (unlike other website suppliers I have used without problems) and when I called to order, the company would not take my word about my pupil distance and demanded to contact my optician and then (as she couldn't verify for 'confidentiality reasons') requiring me to post in a pair of old specs. Eventually the order was placed with a week or so before we travelled abroad so I was confident that they would arrive on time (again previous suppliers have turned round in a week). Sadly the holiday came and I had to go without my new glasses.
On return the glasses had arrived - and to be fair, they are perfectly OK - pity the process took so long.

We're sorry the process took such a long time for you. We should have done better to explain that glasses containing prisms need an accurate pupil distance to make them correctly; we cannot accept self-meausured ones as they are often inaccurate.
Unfortunately lenses with prisms also take longer to supply.
Kind regards
