... with their woeful call centre trying to sort out a delivery, I thought, right, I'll show them, I'll leave them a bad review on TrustPilot!
Ha, looks like half the country has beaten me to it. Ho hum!
Just as an update, when the bathroom furniture was delivered one unit was bashed and was unusable, and the Solid Surface Bathroom worktop, described online and in their brochures as being 2000mm in length, is actually 1800mm. They can't get another piece to make it 2000mm (I have to buy another 600mm from them) for 28 days.
They are not fit for purpose, and I would really encourage people to give them a wide berth for this sort of thing.
Decent website, top quality products, fast despatch. Basically what one should expect!
I bought an iPhone from eBay for my wife a couple of months ago from an eBay seller based in the UK.
After paying up, he sent an e-mail to me the next day saying his girlfriend dropped the phone in the snow (it was in February) and it broke, so he refunded me in full.
9 days later PayPal wrote to me saying he had no money in his account (he had no credit card backup) so took the money back. It was about £475.
I contacted the seller, who apologised, and put through a refund again. I was suspicious, but couldn't push to eBay as the "refund" was in the system again. Guess what, this seller was a scam artist and again he bounced the PayPal payment again. So, so far, he'd kept my money for over 18 days. He again said it was a problem and it was all eBay's fault, so again I started a complaint through eBay, knowing that eBay won't get involved for 10 days, and I knew he would bounce the payment again after 9 days!
So, what to do? You can't e-mail eBay. So, instead I tweeted a message to both eBay and @AskPayPal, complaining about the situation and that their customer service was awful. I did this on Friday evening at about 7pm.
At 11pm, I received an e-mail from "Frank" at PayPal telling me that they had refunded me in full, and would tell eBay to close the claim.
I looked on eBay the next day, and the claim had been closed, and the dodgy seller was no longer an eBay member.
So, if you get stuck, use Twitter. You won't regret it!
I find it amusing that the people who actually run this site, have such a low score. You would think they would be 10/10 and 5 stars.
However, looking through the people who give it 1 or 2 stars are a) businesses who don't use it complaining that they've had a bad review or b) customers who have given a bad review to another company and seen it disappear and c) people who don't believe the reviews are legitimate.
For those in a) Grow Up. If you have had a bad review, change the way you do business. If you think the review is unfounded or maybe it's just a competitor of yours slagging you off, report it to TrustPilot and they temporarily remove it, check it out, and if it is a legitimate review they put it back, and if it's a fake review, it'll stay off the site.
For b) Just read the answer to a)!
For c) Well you can report a review as well! Generally though, the worse the language and spelling is, the more likely it's probably legitimate.
So, all in all, I think it's good as TrustPilot themselves have such a bad score! To be honest, if I were them I'd remove some of their reviews as they're plainly just from angry people who have nothing better to do (like me ;)). I did a review from the people I got my new Tumble Dryer from, and gave them 5 stars. I wonder if anyone slagged off my review as being fake.
Let me check!

Well, not literally obviously. I bought a Tumble Dryer from Comet (oh dear) so that went wrong but I got my money back through Pay Pal. Then bought from John Lewis, but they wanted 5 days to deliver the Tumble Dryer and an extra £29.50 to do it, so I got my money back from them as well.
Then I tried Curry's, and their website wasn't working, and Googled and found Appliances Online. A very good price, timed delivery the following day, tons of text messages and e-mails (maybe too many actually) to advise me where the Tumble Dryer was, and it arrived on-time.
Very good service, and I'll definitely use them again!
