Purchased a Samsung TV in November from the Lincoln branch. TV started switching itself of and on a two minute cycle. Took it back to the store with my receipt on Sunday. Received the bad news that it would take up to 28 days to repair the TV.
Just a received a call from a person in the store now saying I need to go back to the store pick the TV up and take it to a repair centre five miles away. I asked to speak with the manager a person called "John" identified himself as the manager. He repeatedly refused to give me his surname. Basically its in the terms and conditions and I have to collect my broken two month old TV and take it somewhere else.
AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS.
UPDATE1, I've filed a complaint with trading standards and have been advised that I can ask them to fix my TV or provide a refund. You can also contact your card company (If purchased with a credit card) and they will also be liable for refunding your money.
UPDATE 2, Got a call from Mark. Asking me to collect my two month old broken TV today. I've informed them that I will be writing to them by recorded delivery asking them to do what they are legally obligated to do. -- Repair or Refund -- my broken TV. I'm definitely on for this, all the way to court if need be.
UPDATE 3, Another call today. Now are saying they will swap the TV. Going to make an extra trip to make the exchange.
BTW: I'm a local school governor and company director. I intend to let as many people as possible know how poor and bordering on fraudulent this store and company are.
