My parents have been with TalkTalk for a few years now. They went onto a new service and nothing works.
They do not get a lot of the channels. The channels they do get have a very poor reception.
The new modem does not work with their laptop,
The bandwidth is absolutely rubbish, 3.1 mbps.
The worse thing is, my dad is 79 years old and has a direct line to the NHS to monitor his health as he has chronic Emphysema. The line was out of action for ten days over Christmas and this has put his health at risk. I have asked them to put my parents on their previous tariff and to recompense them for the disruption in service and I have asked them to sort out any issues. They have done nothing. They have implied that they have tried phoning me as I do not want to phone them. They have not.
I have told them that I will that I will go to the Ombudmen if the situation is not dealt with, which I most certainly will do.

Wanted a Panasonic Viera 24 ". Phoned up the London bridge shop who said that they could provide one within a week. They phoned me back a week later and said that a batch had come in. Went down and the guy who phoned me tried to pass off a second hand model as a new model. It wasn't even the right model. He wasted two hours of my time and didn't even have the courtesy to apologise. I complained and the manager phoned me up and said that he would send something in the post to compensate. This never arrived.
The Richer Sounds customer service looked into my issues and went to massive lengths to rectify. Thank you very much.
