I ordered 3 tins of dulux paint online and I didn't arrive within their 3 days delivery promise. Phoned customer services (took half hour to get through) to obtain a refund because I was sick of waiting in for it to arrive and was told it wouldn't be despatched til 3 days time when the warehouse received another delivery. Was told I couldn't get a refund until the Monday (the day it was going to be despatched) because of a change in product code. Was offered by the customer service advisor (Jan) to see if my local store had it which was helpful. It gets worse though. She phoned back and had reserved the stock to which I said if just check my partner was happy to go and collect it NOW and she replied "well you better hurry up because I finish in two minutes." I was even lied to by an advisor called Deborah as well stating my order had already been despatched and was with the couriers. All in all a very bad experience with Homebase customer services and quite frankly the most appalling customer service advisors I've ever encountered. Won't be shopping with Homebase again.
I bought a 1 month code (same price as it is on Xbox Live) but I was able to pay using PayPal and it saves me the bother of having to log on to Xbox and turn off the auto-renew. Code was delivered instantly and worked with no problems.
I have ordered a few times from mankind because they do at least normally have some good user reviews on the site. Other than that, I find their products very averagely priced (normally always cheaper on amazon) and the one time I had a problem with an order I found their customer service slow and very unhelpful.
All in all I would say use the site for the user reviews but buy elsewhere for more competitively priced items and from somewhere with better customer service.
It's a good site and the one I use the most but only because they have the biggest choice in my area. They don't ever send you vouchers and they don't have a point scheme like other takeaway sites which gets you some money off now and then.
Have never had to use their 'live help' feature so can't comment on that.
All in all, if you want to order online I would check and see if the restaurant you want is on another site first to either save some money or get points for a future save.
I originally ordered some sample 'impact whey protein' sachets as I've only been weight training for 2 months. I ordered five sachets along with the 'my protein' shaker which was £1.99 and works very well with no leaking.
I have since ordered a big bag of whey protein and some creatine and a scoop (£0.62) for measuring out the correct amount of protein.
All in all, the price along with fast, very reasonably priced delivery and quality of the products I've received I would definitely recommend myprotein and will certainly be using them again myself.
