Ordered a Thermostatic Bar Valve and Riser kit which was delivered on time and at a great price. That's the end of the good news. When I started to read the totally inadequate User Manual I couldn't work out how to remove the thermostat handle and so sent the first of my emails to the useless "Customer Support". The email was unanswered but it didn't matter because after poking around I worked out for myself how the thing was held together. So, on to the installation which went OK until I turned the water on at which point it was apparent that the thermostat bar was leaking at the hot water inlet joint. A phone call to the only number shown on their website turned out to be their sales dept. but even so I would have thought that anyone dealing with plumbing products would be familiar with the term "leaks". Not so the youth on the other end of the line who responded as though he'd never heard the word before! Anyway, he said that I need to contact "Customer Support" and helpfully gave me their email address. Again I emailed them and again I got no response.
In the end, with the help of a local plumber, the inlet pipe was taken off and a new washer put in which sorted the leak out. The Thermostat bar valve and riser were then fitted and the water turned on. The next stem was to adjust the water temperature but after following the instructions in the User Guide to the letter, the water was still freezing even with the thermostat turned to max.
Another email for assistance was sent to "Customer Support" but (you've guessed it) I've had no reply!!! Once again, it really didn't matter because after Googling "How to set the thermostat on an Ultra bar valve" I found a video showing me exactly what to do.
So we now have a fully functioning shower which we are very pleased with, but we've got here inspite of the total indifference of QS Supplies.
One final comment. The shower system is supposed to carry a 10 warranty, but we haven't got one piece of paper supporting this guarantee. I suppose I could email "Customer Support" about this but what's the point?
