I needed some security software for my laptop so searched the usual suspects on the internet.
I ended up at Ebuyer (as I often do), they had a wide selection of products and competitive prices. I eventually bought Bitdefender Internet Security (mid afternoon) and paid for standard postage. I was amazed to receive my software next morning – superb!
I can't understand some of the negative reviews of Ebuyer on this site, I've used them for several years now and had no real problems. I must admit their systems can be a bit frustrating – highly automated with the use of eNotes etc - but I guess that's how they keep their prices so low. In my experience they are only bettered for customer care by Amazon.
I have no hesitation in recommending them.
I simply can’t rate these guys highly enough.
The screen (13in 1366x768 HD) on my Acer laptop failed so I went hunting for a replacement and was lucky enough to find Accupart.
Finding the correct part on their website was easy but I sent an email for confirmation and got an almost instant response. Even better the reply was succinct and unequivocal - yes it’s the correct part and it’s an original part from the same factory Acer use. Some other websites are a bit vague, perhaps intentionally so, about whether their parts are originals or cheap clones.
The cost was £49 and delivery was free, so I placed my order immediately (Friday afternoon) and amazingly the screen was delivered (in robust packaging) on Saturday morning!
The replacement screen was, as promised, identical to the one in the laptop. Fitting took around 25 minutes, but I wasn’t trying to break any records, and was quite straightforward.
If I have one criticism it’s that the parts are only guaranteed for 3 months even though they are brand new, perhaps it’s because you’re fitting them yourself. On the other hand I’m amazed they can give this level of service for the price.
Very, very happy customer.
They were the cheapest on the web for the wireless dongle I wanted; I also ordered some software while I was on the site and, since I didn’t need either product urgently, I selected the free delivery option. It all seemed quite a bargain.
My order was partially dispatched (no explanation why) and the dongle arrived in about a week or so; well packaged and in perfect condition. After six weeks, with no sign of the software (even though the website showed 1700 units in stock!) I contacted customer care and after a bit of an email exchange they posted the software which was also received in perfect condition and well packaged.
Tech Next Day’s prices are very competitive and they offer free delivery, which is good. The free delivery option seems slower than Amazon and Ebuyer though. To be fair they also offer paid-for delivery options - including next working day - so if you need a bargain priced bit of kit urgently, they might be worth a try.
I still feel I got a bargain and since I didn’t need either product urgently the delivery glitch was a minor irritation rather than a catastrophe. It does make you wonder how robust their systems are though, if they can forget to post half your order.
