Placed the order Sunday evening. Email Monday a.m. apologising that shipping was held up owing to weather conditions (widespread heavy snow) but a compensatory bottle of wine would be sent.
Item delivered 10 a.m. Tuesday.
All this for an order of about £7, including delivery. Wonderful! Will go back as first choice.
Oh. No sign of the wine yet.
The service was excellent. The process was was all I would have wanted in most areas, so I'm not going to comment on all aspects.
Two possible improvements:
1 Charges accrue as you go through the ordering process, and not always clearly.
2 The collection was timed 9.00 - 18.00, so I stayed in all day, within earshot of the doorbell. Collection was 17.30. Some sort of 'windows' system would make a big difference. By 10.00 I had Christmas cards I needed to get in the post before the 17.00 collection.
After problems logging on I spoke to customer services (non-premium number - hurray! No endless Vivaldi) who tried a fix that didn't work and when I called back said IT would call me, which they did in less than half an hour and quickly and efficiently sorted it. I was told I could order by telephone, but said I'd go on line, which would let me check all was OK. It was and I ordered. That was late afternoon. My order arrived the following morning.
