I had a really great experience of Glasses Direct customer service.
I ordered two glasses on their website using a 4 in 1 code which gave me lots of discount. Their automated update system is really efficient and keeps you updated on the process of your order as it moves through the stages.
It was really easy to fill in the prescription online but I had a problem reading my hand written prescription from Boots - which I didn't realise until the glasses arrived and I couldn't see a thing through them!
I emailed customer services and asked what the procedure was, I was greeted with a friendly, simple response with how they process returns. I realised I had read the numbers on the prescription wrong and they said it was OK, they would sort it out free of charge because I contacted them within the 14 days - so I posted back the glasses in the free envelope and put my actual prescription from boots in with it. They where returned within 5 days with my original prescription!
I cannot recommend the service highly enough. It makes such a difference when you don't feel like customer service are reading from a script that they can't deviate from. Human responses and occasional informal language makes the process a delightful one!
I booked a hotel for 2 nights via one of their timed offers and it was definitely a good experience. I now consider them my first port of call when I am looking for a holiday and I will be checking for good deals all year round. The hotel standard was very high and it was easy to redeem the voucher on arrival.
