I ordered a dress from boohoo, paid for next day delivery before 7pm so well qualified.
The dress didnt arrive next day and when I emailed asking for my money to be returned I was told I couldn't have it 'because of the Olympics' - Bearing in mind the Olympics finished 2 weeks ago and living and working in London throughout the whole of the Olympics and knowing how little disruption there was, I wasn't willing to accept this as a response. So, I emailed back "the Olympics finished 2 weeks ago and that is not an acceptable excuse" -
The response "We mean the end of the Paralympics, and you were warned of this because your post code is in the 'restricted zones list on our website" again, another 'fob off' excuse, completely unhelpful.... 1) The Paralympics wasnt starting for another week and 2) My home address is in london, the DELIVERY address was NOT on your postcode list, so there was no way of blatantly using this as a lame excuse to hold on to my money.
I reminded you that you were wrong and of the points listed above and eventually got my money back. I did try to call but notice you choose not to lost a working telephone number... which says a lot about your organisation.
To go with that, the dress is very bad quality and was sent with loose stitching already, I didnt wear it to the event as I had hoped and I'm too afraid to send it back in in case I'm fed more excuses as to why I dont qualify for a refund - looking on the web, Boohoo are known for this sort of behavior. I havent got any time to be caught up in another email arguement - A TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR YOUR OFFICES TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE IF YOU HAVE A CONCERN WOULD BE VERY USEFUL - So i'll be selling the dress my self instead.
I buy lots of products from H&M, they are amazing in all areas - THEY contact ME if they've made a mistake - I will get letters 'we understand your product didn't arrive in time, therefore, we are refunding you your next day delivery postage costs'
I will continue to use H&M and spend several hundreds of pounds annually with them.
What I love about them is there 'Yes we can' attitude and trust in their clients.
Boohoo are substandard in terms of customer service and I'll be making sure the people I know are aware of this as well so that they avoid spending their money somewhere it isn't appreciated.
