I'm always looking for win-win whether I'm selling or buying. I'm willing to pay a fair price for a good product or service and I try to offer the same. I like dealing with people who do what they say they will, promptly and efficiently. Parkers had what I wanted: they gave me a no-nonsense price straightaway, which I accepted and paid for immediately. They dispatched the next day with 12-month warranty. Very pleased with the purchase and would happily deal with Parkers Jewellers again.
I have been visiting Mann's Music for many years. However, I probably only buy something 1 in 50x, be it some consumables (eg strings, cables, picks) or a music book. Once or twice I have bought something I would call high-value, as on this occasion. Whatever, I am always made welcome and often informed of the shop's latest offerings. I have also noticed recently that Mann's are aware of on-line retail trends and are making efforts to remain competitive. All of this combines to make Mann's the best music shop in my neck of the woods. However, I wonder than the shop does not make a more serious effort to build itself a rep at the high end of the market, where their sales and servicing strengths would I believe have leverage.
