Sent two items the same day using TNT, one to Tahiti and one to South Africa. The first arrived on time but damaged. The second one was delayed at UK customs as they required more information (customs tarrif code) which was not asked for on booking even though I had to fill out a customs declaration form - no-one told us of the delay - apparently you are supposed to guess that it has been held up. No information on tracking other than 'Booked' When we chased them, told information was needed and they updated the invoice for me and emailed me someone elses order confirmation and invoice to sign. Nice data protection. The package arrived around 2 weeks late and completely obliterated. Contacted Interparcel by email, was ignored for a week. On calling (cost me 10p a minute) was told that the service is not guaranteed, so tough. Also package contained an item which contained resin (plastic) so there is no option for damage compensation as resin is a dangerous and prohibited item. Tracking now says 'Shipment delivered in good condition' - Ha!

Sent two items the same day, one to South Africa and one to Tahiti, one was 3 weeks delayed because it sat at customs in the UK apparently requiring a tarrif code which was not asked for and no-one let us know it was there waiting. Arrived with all contents obliterated. The other package to Tahiti arrived on time, but also smashed. On contacting was told no chance for recovery of the cost of the damaged items, never mind the shipping costs - tough.
