Trustpilot Guidelines:

"A review can be edited if: There is documentation that parts of the review are deliberate misrepresentations of the actual course of events. "

After providing 4 pieces of documentation to show that a review is a deliberate misrepresentation of events, Trustpilot go against their own guidelines and will not edit the review to be truthful.

Any reply will probably talk about their deletion policy.. because I'm right that they should edit it. I'm asking that it be edited based on their own guidelines. Even so, it's possible to determine who is right because of the previously mentioned documentation.

Hi Rachael,

Thank you for your review.

It is true that our old guidelines stated that the review could be edited if there was documentation to show that the review was a deliberate misrepresentation of events. However we found that it is practically impossible to prove who is right in these cases.
Trustpilot is not in a position to act as a legal entity and therefore we have changed our guidelines.

In cases where you should not agree with the content of the review, we always recommend companies to contact the reviewer, by either leaving a comment on the review through their B2B account, or by contacting the customer directly. We have experienced that if the company pro-actively deals with the review, many times the issues get resolved that way, and the reviewer is open to changing the review.
I can only warmly recommend it in this case as well.

You can read more about our updated guidelines here: http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/popups/evaluationguidelines.aspx

Best regards
