Reserved an item on new years eve for collection on 'the next working day', which as the vast majority of the UK know is January 2nd (and as confirmed by the reservation screen in front of me). Turned up on January 2nd to be told that I was a day late, and in fact the next working day after new years eve was January 1st.... I don't think so, and neither do trading standards - January 1st is a "trading day" for those who want to open their doors. To the rest of the UK, January 1st is a designated bank holiday.
The branch manager was rude and condescending, told me to contact customer services, which I did 2 days ago - had no response from them either.
Currys are way below par when it comes to customer service; this country really does need a high street alternative. Until then, I'm buying from Amazon who are streets ahead in every respect. I won't buy again from Currys, I'd sooner pay more from an alternative supplier.
I don't often complain, but these people have let me down on several occasions. Either get a grip or disappear please.
M and M need to update their online/stock availability system, as this is the second time I've ordered a 'bargain' only to later receive an incomplete order with items missing. When I telephoned their customer services folks, I was told ithat the missing items were out of stock when they had come to pick the order, but now these items had miraculously appeared back in stock at close to the RRP price (which is 4 times the cost of my original order). When asked if I could have the items at the discounted price, I was told in no uncertain terms by one VERY rude individual that was not going to happen.
So in summary - good products at greatly reduced rates, however, what you order may in no way correlate to what you end up with. And don't bother ringing customer services because they're chocolate teapots.
