I've been a Samsung customer for years, but I guess I have to switch brand. The last flat TV lasted 4.5 years. It is now having four severe errors and as the normal warranty period is over, customer service offers no compensation whatsoever for loyal customers that wants to stick to the brand and purchase a new Samsung TV :-( A discount policy from Samsung in cases like mine would be good business practice. Hoping for a change!
The errors (in sequence): Over 1000 pixel errors (fixed on warranty), spurious power on, takes 30 minutes to start, takes 45 minutes until picture is free from wandering shadows and color distortions. The model is LE40F86BDX/XEE purchased in December 2007. Note, Samsung Sweden don't want to provide compensation in any way if I purchase a new Samsung TV.
