I am very surprised to hear it was scuffed as we have not had any problems with these medals before. If we did supply it to you already scuffed then I am extremely disappointed to hear this ...
I am equally confused about what you describe as 'glue' .. since there would be no contact with glue at any time?
As far as the engraving disc is concerned the medal is a £1.99 ish medal and, whilst not the cheapest, most medals in this price range are not suitable for engraving directly on to the medal and hence we specify clearly that engraving is on a 'disc on the back of the medal'. If direct engraving was required for some reason then we would need to be advised that ... in almost all cases the engraving on the disc looks far superior than engraving on to the medal. If we thought it was better to engrave on the back of the medals we would do it as it would be a much easier and cheaper method for us.
Please do always let us know if a product is not up to scratch as we will happily replace ... we can replace your medal with a perfect, unscuffed replacement and engrave it directly on the back if you wish .. all free of charge of course!
