I ordered 500 litres of heating oil on 1 July as I have done many times before without any trouble. I was informed by SMS message that [Link] would make the delivery on 11 July. [Link] delivery driver refused to deliver because it was into an underground tank it being their company policy not to deliver to such under a 'duty of care' restriction. Assuming that my contract was with Boilerjuice, I took the matter up with them, but was surprised to learn that they were unwilling to honour the original price and referred me to their terms and conditions which state that the customer's contract is with the oil supplier, not Boilerjuice despite that at the time of order the customer does not know who the supplier is. I wonder: how many Boilerjuice customers are aware of this?
Best price for the item I required (Cateye Velo 9 bicycle computer), easy transaction, rapid delivery.
