Messed about by City Link. Avoid this company.

Today - 10 July, I was meant to have a parcel picked up.

I took the day off to be present as no time frame was provided. This was my choice as I was looking for a economical service.

I was awake from 8:00AM and present till 7:00pm. I also took the large parcel down 5 flights of stairs for it to be ready for pickup.

I live in a block of flats. Driver was instructed to ring my door bell number.

No rings were heard.

On tracking website, excuses given were:

"The premises were closed when the driver attempted to collect these goods"
"The goods were not available when the driver tried to collect them. "

Both false, my door bell wasn't rung, my phone doesn't have a missed call or voicemail. My parcel was on the ground floor ready for pickup.

No delivery note was left, leaving me to believe no attempt was made. The letter box is very large and in the middle of the front door.

If the driver went to the door in attempt to pickup my parcel, he/she would have saw

1. my door bell, amongst the other 9 door bells
2. left a 'you were not home for pickup' note.

Both were not done.

Very frustrating. Very disappointing. Regret trusting City Link. Very sickening service and attitude.

DPD UK

NEVER SHOWED UP TO COLLECT PARCEL!!!

Yesterday, DPD was meant to collect my laptop to be repaired.

This pickup never came.

DPD were meant to pickup the laptop between 15:01 - 16:01. They never showed up.

I wasted a day off from work waiting for this pickup.

At 15:07 I changed the delivery time slot to 5/7/2012 as I suspected the pick up would not happen. This came true in the end from the online status reports from the DPD website. Report stated they failed to collect the item. Suprize.

DPD phone customer care service is frustrating, You are not not able to speak to anyone.

They are meant to pickup today. They still have not been given any time slots for today's delivery.

Please - i dont want to waste another day off because of your delivery drivers failing to adhere to promises.

Update: THEY HAVE NOW SENT ME AN EMAIL STATING THEY WILL COLLECT ON THE 4TH JULY.

THAT IS YESTERDAY!!!!

Sorry you had to go through all this :(
Hopefully you have your parcel now, but if you're still having problems, or if you ever have trouble with one of our deliveries or collections again, please send us an email with your consignment number and a contact telephone number so we can point customer services in your direction and get it all sorted out :)
