I had high hopes for Made.com.
The slick and classy website lures you in with promises of designer living at low prices. Sadly the glossy veneer hides some very rotten wood indeed.
My first purchase (a lamp) was of disappointing quality - cheap and lightweight - far from designer.
My second purchase (3 clocks) never arrived. Made.com sited manufacturer issues - 2 and a half months after payment and only shortly before I was expecting delivery did they inform me.
My third purchase (an armchair) delivery was a disaster.
I paid £45 for delivery - was expecting a premium service but they used a budget outfit that couldn't make the delivery slot and cost me a morning's unpaid leave! Not even the courtesy of a call.
No apologies from Made.com.
Cancelled the order - asked for a refund which they subsequently had no record of. They even tried to redeliver the cancelled order.
Had to complain more than once and still awaiting a refund of nearly £400 which they say will take up to 10 working days, having originally taken my cash months ago!
Please avoid this company - their website sells you a dream - the reality is a nightmare.
