Proviation
Awful customer service - Long delays with no communication
I'm afraid I have to agree with the negative reviews on here. I ordered and paid for an Alpha jacket on 5 Nov and it didn't arrive until 18 December. In fact it was only after I threatened legal action that my jacket arrived at all.
Proviation made no effort to contact me with any order updates - I had to do all the chasing. I also found it difficult to make contact with them, as they don't answer the phone and didn't call me back as promised when I left a message on their answer phone. Neither did they respond to emails within 24 hours or "keep me posted" as claimed. I work long hours and cannot access their live chat feature from work.
It's very disappointing, as the jacket itself was fine - but had I known my purchase would have been such a drawn out stressful process with such awful communication from Proviation, I would definitely have saved myself the hassle and purchased the item from elsewhere. I had specifically chosen Poviation because it was a UK based supplier but I would have received faster and more efficient customer service if I'd bought directly from the States (where Alpha are based), rather than waiting for Proviation to get its next bulk order from the States delivered (something I was not aware of or warned about when I ordered and paid for the jacket).
Proviation never even had the courtesy to apologise about the delay or to tell me when my jacket had (finally) been dispatched.
I would not use Proviation again, nor would I recommend them to anyone unless they completely overhaul their customer service. Having read other reviewers' experiences, I doubt that's likely to happen.

Excellent company, bargain price and no problems at all
In common with some other reviewers, I had some reservations about whether or not to trust this company, as I had never used them before and the price was so much cheaper than anywhere else online that it seemed too good to be true. However I need not have worried, the booking was really easy - when I had a question I used the online chat support and got an instant and clear answer (outside of normal office hours) and I'm pleased to report that my hotel booking was exactly as described. I got a brilliant deal and a great service from onhotels and I would definitely use them again. I accept that some reviewers may have had a different experience to mine but personally I was delighted with this company and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you onhotels!
The Whisky Exchange
Reliable seller
Having been let down previously on a similar order by a rival company, I was sceptical about this order - but I need not have worried, as The Whisky Exchange is a reliable seller. The order was processed quickly and delivered on time without any problems. I would definitely use this company again and I recommend them to others.
