The 500Mbps pass through homeplugs have improved performance. They have also increased the reliability of my network connection that had previously dropped on several occasions a day. I have only had them for about a week and have to reboot them a couple of times having seen all three light flashing amber every 10 seconds that caused some sort of delay in the traffic when conferencing. I also have a concern that one of my laptops failed with a power issue on the second day of using the homeplugs and would then not fully boot up. I have since purchaces a relpacement laptop. I hope that this is coincidential and not something that is known to have an increased chance of happening when using such devices.

Making a Lan connection to a computer would not cause a fail of the power system, Computers do just die eventually, Sadly.
Its usually the power supply or the battery on a laptop, sometimes also the power connector.
Have you had someone look at it, may be recoverable for not too much money?
