Good price, quick delivery, but third party ink in the box

I bought a printer from 3000rpm and was really impressed by the price (the lowest I could find) and by the very prompt service. The only thing I didn't like was that they had opened the box, removed the Epson starter ink cartridges which should have been included, and replaced them with cheaper generic replacement cartridges.

Presumably they did this so that they could sell the original ink separately (or maybe it's a refurb, although that certainly wasn't indicated on the site). I've bought exactly the same printer before elsewhere and know that you should get official Epson cartridges. I thought about returning it, but didn't want the hassle and the replacement carts should work well enough. I suspect that Epson would not be happy about this practice though (and I do wonder about the implications for the guarantee).
