I seem to have an unusual predilection of seeking to land closer to my intended destination. I also prefer to choose my seat at check in, rather than enter a 100M sprint to the aircraft steps. I sometimes wonder if the phrase '10 degrees _ positive rate of climb; gear up' is ever actually used on the flight deck ?

Yes! I know it's not 'catchy'. But, I find it infuriating that it simply refuses to load. After all, it's not exactly rocket science !
