Overall the travel experience was positive with flights on time etc. However on the journey out to our holiday they lost a bag. With our holiday accommodation 3 hours from the airport we sat waiting for a phone call to say if they found it or not. Jet2 do not pay for the courier to deliver the bag even though they lost it!! Rather than do a 6 hour journey we paid a Courier (and didn't get the money back through our Insurance) to collect it for us and were 2 days without a case. PS there is nothing on the website about if they lose the bag they will not deliver it to you! Not good :(
At the airport there were a few people on the same flight in the same predicament, if this is translated across all flights they there will be hundreds of dissatisfied customers.
I had booked a convertible car to collect at Pisa Airport. When we arrived to collect the car I was shocked to see the queues for cars. There was a ticket queueing system!!! The staff were all working hard but it tool us 4 hours to get our car. If sitting in a hot airport is your idea of fun then book a car at Pisa Airport with Auto Europe. Most of the other companies at the airport had no queues at all! When we picked up the car there was no one on hand to show us how to use it. Suffice to say we could not use the open top as we didn't understand Italian! Not a good experience but a real damper on our holiday from day one.
