They use a deliberately ambiguois phrase about "We want to contact you in the future blah blah blah. " such that I'm unsure about whether to tick the box or as not. Very misleading and I won't be using them again.
I'd been considering buying a PC-E 24mm Tilt-Shift lens for a while (my wife is very interested in the architecture and history of Cathedrals) but the cost has always put me off. Reading a photo magazine mentioned about hiring a lens for a special occasion and after a quick google, I found LensesForHire. What a wonderful experience it turned out to be! They have a huge range available with a calendar that indicates when a lens is available for hire. Availability coincided with my trip to Salisbury Cathedral, so I decided to hire it for the week. The lens came very well protected in a box along with a soft pouch, 77mm UV Hoya Pro filter and checklist. It's a tricky lens to use, and it requires ensuring the camera is perfectly level (I bought a hot-shoe spirit level in the local Jessops to assist), but I've got some great shots. When returning the lens, I had a chat with Rich from LensesForHire a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic photographer - and he shoots Nikon like all the greats! I would heartily recommend their services and was impressed by the professional conduct from the initial confirmation email through to the acknowledgement that the lens was returned in good condition.
