My LaCie drive became faulty within a little over a year of owning it and eventually became completely inaccessible, despite hours of trouble shooting to try and regain access.
Worse still is dabs 'after sales' which is near zero. Dabs requested I send it back with the intention of returning it to LaCie for repair.
Instead they themselves determined the drive was irrecoverable, promised to issue a refund which to date I've never received and then send my drive and personal data to be destroyed, all without my consent.
As far as they are concerned with a refund which I am still waiting for they now own the drive and the data on there, ICO disagree and state I have legal right to a copy of my personal data.
Dabs continue to flout consumer law and even resorted to misleading LaCie as to the true course of events surrounding my saga with them.
Fair warning to all who buy from Dabs, my advice is don't!
