Misunderstanding/eventually resolved

Put order in for business cards. Was shopping on a budget as this is my first business outlay. Was asked while online shopping whether I wanted them laminated for extra £££s? Didn't go for this option as was on a budget. Cards arrived very fast indeed (well I did pay mostly for the postage) Dismayed to find 18 out of 50 cards had been scratched and were unusable. I complained on the phone and was told that I could have a discount on my next order as I didn't have them laminated-hence damage. Why were 32 fine then? Eventually I was re-sent order laminated for free. They need to more clear whether they can fulfil a high quality product or not without laminating. If they cannot do that then they should have laminating as standard.
