I have been given the run around on the new car I bought from Stoneacre Harrogate. The day I bought it, I noticed the CD player wasn't working and contacted them immediately. I took the car back a few days later so that their services department could find out the problem and after an hour they told me that they would have to order a new one - full of apologies. Over a week went by and I hadn't heard a thing, so I called them and was informed that it was under manufacturers warranty, so i had to take it to a vauxhall dealership and they would replace it free of charge. I did as Stoneacre told me to. The Vauxhall garage pulled out the cd player, noticed something stuck inside it and pulled out the object. All in all it took them 10 minutes to fix the problem but they charged a small sum because it wasn't a manufacture fault. Reported back to Stoneacre who refuse to foot the bill because apparently the vauxhall garage had no right to fix the cd player. Does Stoneacre expect the vauxhall garage to replace the offending item to make the cd player not work again?
