I purchased a nokia 2220 monthly contract for 46 a month. Only to be told 3 days later it wasnt in stock - even though it was still advertised on the website. I accepted the offer of a nokia 100 which is the most basic phone because of the offer of a tag heuer watch which retailed at a 1000 pounds. This was done via AVN promotions. 3 weeks later i get an email saying its not in stock and they offered me 2 other tag heuer watches which were worth about £600. I said no. They escalated the case to another adviser who offered me 570 pounds in cash! Still way off and its a violation of the contract. But now wont return emails or will not liase at all. I am utterly shocked that the carphone warehouse company will deal this way. Reported to OFCOM who told me to go to consumer.org and thats as far as the case has got as they advised to tell them in writing that I am going to cancel the contract as they have failed to fullfill the contract. Amazingly they still added insurance and gadget helpline for a nokia 100!
