I ordered an ipad. Received confirmation and an order number and was told to allow 1 working day for it to be delivered to my local store. I didn't get to town for 4 days, and guess what? No ipad. So I emailed Carphone Warehouse, and am still waiting for a reply. I called. The guy said no ipads in stock, so I told him the £429 had been paid. He told me it probably hadn't! I assured him I had checked my balance online and it had definitely been paid for!
I ended up going back to my local store, where the girl was very helpful. She rang and cancelled, and demanded I get a refund. However, have now apparently got to wait up to 14 days, which means I can't buy an ipad until I am sure they have refunded me. I could go and buy one today, but you can guarantee if I do that suddenly the Carphone Warehouse will find an ipad available and insist that I didn't cancel! So ... another wait ..... cheers CW, my son will get it just as he has to go back to school :(
