Tsohost

No news is good news

In the world of web hosting, no news is good news. In the couple of years since our website has been hosted with Tsohost, we have experienced a reliable service. Our needs are modest in terms of users and thus our shared hosting package is not going to set the world alight, but we have had consistent performance and hardly any downtime.

But most of all for me personally, I was surprised to find that when porting the site to Tsohost a lot of details that had been problematic with other providers just worked. For example, inbound HTTP connections, PHP settings, local Apache configuration.

The one time I have contacted support (for a package regrade) I got a prompt response and resolution.

Trying to think of negatives, I have seen better (more automated) backup solutions, but apparently this will be iminently changed anyway.
