OK, the prices speak for themselves, and is often hard to see past the apparent savings. However, my experience wasn't great.
I bought a Canon camera on a Monday morning, expecting is to be dispatched at worst the following day (as they promise). Tuesday afternoon I received an email asking to confirm my shipping address and a landline number. This is very unusual practice, and although they claimed that they needed it to make sure there were no mistakes, it was clearly stated on the order summary. As a result the dispatch was delayed by 2 days.
When it did eventually arrive, ( all present and correct, I have too add) the full understanding of what a 'grey import' is, was realised. Although they don't overtly advertise the fact that you are importing whatever you buy from Hong Kong, I was aware. Now, I don't read Mandarin, which is a big handicap it turns out. In fact the only English text was the Digital Rev warranty which replaced the standard Canon UK warranty (as it is imported). I hope that nothing goes wrong with the camera as my experience of these 3rd party warranties is poor.
On a final note, this feedback scheme is heavily biased. If you are willing to leave positive feedback, you are directed here. If not, then you are directed to their complaints dept. Very sneaky.
The quality of the finished article seems very good, but I was most impressed with the ease and versatility of the design software and ordering process. I was given a call almost immediately upon submission of the design to iron out a slight issue that I had not noticed - showing that they really care that the quality of their product is good.
