Prompt, courteous but not always flexible enough for me!

I have used Merlin plenty over the years as you can often not argue with their prices and delivery. Unfort., however, in order to maintain their low prices they buy bulk and package things up with reduced optional flexibility for the very particular customer like me! This is not a complaint, more an observation. In terms of the customer service, they are always speedy, courteous and fair and will generally include a name and contact phone no. should you feel the need to reply. This personal touch is well-received. Keep up the good work Merlin! Cheers, Ben

Lenstore

Acceptable price/service but comms. need improving

I needed to get some lenses due to my optometrist being on holidays and, having done a bit of searching, I decided to go with Lenstore. Unlike many others, the price for 30 pairs is at least consistent what the search engines come up with. Unfort. the £5 postage pretty much wipes out any saving that you might have vs. your optometrist (£45 vs. £48). In future I'll prob. just stick with the optometrist.

Ordered the lenses on Monday, they arrived Friday. A bit disappointing considering the shipping charge. Needed to send a copy of my prescription in as J&J won't supply without it apparently (other lens manufacturers will). Asked for confirmation of receipt of email but never had anything. But of a black hole as far as comms. is concerned.

The lenses that you ordered, 1 Day Acuvue Moist for Astigmatism, are sourced directly from the manufacturer. For this reason, we are unable to offer a same-day dispatch on these lenses. The expected dispatch and delivery dates can be viewed on the order confirmation page before an order is placed, and on the order confirmation email.

The delivery method that you selected, First Class Royal Mail, costs £2.99 and typically takes 1 – 2 working days to deliver. Your lenses were dispatched on Wednesday 15th August and you received them on Friday 17th August, within the expected timeframe for the chosen delivery method.

We can confirm that we received your prescription via email on Monday 13th August, and a reply was sent promptly. We would like to apologise if you did not receive our email. This may be due to a rare technical error which we have now reported to our Technical Support team who are investigating the matter further.
