The platform is very easy to use and understand. Plus500 is very simple to join and start trading. I love the basic design. A great deal of thought has been put into making the platform user friendly but still fully functional. It's very refreshing. No commissions is a bonus too if you are betting small amounts. Very few provides offer commission free trading. The spreads are slightly larger but commissions can kill a small trader. Simplicity is it's greatest feature and I give the platform 5 stars for sure.
But it is let down by one serious issue. Having no phone support, or no phone number at all, is extremely disappointing as their email support can take up to 24 hours for a reply and the replies are like three words long. Phone support is mandatory for a broker, or at least a phone number even if they don't offer support. This concerns me.
The most annoying feature is the automatic log off if "inactive" for 10 minutes. This is the most ridiculous feature imaginable. Every 10 minutes! I spend the whole day logging back in. 25 times a day. It should stay logged in like every other platform. If it is a security feature, then leave it logged on and if a transaction or trade is requested, then require the password. But even this is wrong. The platform stays on all my waking hours, and every time I check how things are going, I'm logged off. Grrrrrrrrr! Leave me logged in and leave me alone. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED NOW.
I don't like the way it restricts you to certain stop and profit prices. "Too far from the current price" shouldn't exist. I should be able to set my stop and profit prices wherever I choose. Plus the limits are too close. Set the limits wider or better still ditch the limits. What's that all about anyway? Sometimes I just want to use the order ticket to check a "what if" scenario to see how much I would have made on a trade in the past, but it won't allow me to enter the prices... "Too far from the current price".
I can't make a withdrawal back to my Mastercard which is what I used to deposit funds into my account. That's disappointing. Wire transfer is the fastest option. It takes 5 or 6 business days. That's at least 1 week. I'd prefer click of the button withdrawals. If there is a global banking crisis I don't want my funds to be caught up in some brokesville European banking system.
I like Plus500 for many reasons but the negatives have become too great, especially the logging off constantly. I can't deal with having to log in just to check my charts. I now use another broker who stays logged in, has phone support and instant chat support, and can deposit money back into my credit card.
