Rachel Hughes and her team did everything possible to get my compressor delivered to me in rural Spain but the Spanish carrier just wouldn't attempt to find me. The UK carrier (DPD) shipped the goods promptly to the Spanish carrier's (SEUR) depot in Almeria, and that's where the goods stayed.
SEUR made no attempt to find my address on spite of having:-
GPS map co-ordinates.
An accurate house name and number, the street name, the village name, the town name, the postcode, the province and a mobile phone number.
Twice the showed the parcel a "on the van" on the internet tracking screen but no attempt made to deliver.
I am told by DPD that SEUR refused to phone me because my only phone in Spain is my UK mobile. I don't have a Spanish landline.
No attempt by them to find our village on a map - Google, Yahoo or paper map.
No attempt by them to use Google Earth or other GPS websites that pinpoint a latitude/longitude place on earth.
Eventually, Trueshopping could not get anywhere with DPD or SEUR and offered a refund to me - top marks Trueshopping!!!
If a professional carrier cannot bother to acquire the tools, staff and attitude to do the job they are paid to do, then they (SEUR/DPD) deserve to lose revenue.
