I was sending a return to a company which I bought my PC from as it was faulty. They use DPD as their carrier. I got an email to confirm the pick up date and time. This was supposed to be Thu. The carrier did not show up. I called the company I bough the PC from on Fri to find out what happened. They said the carrier could not find the address. Despite the fact that the complex of flats where I live, have 150 flats and the DPD carrier comes here nearly every day (as the concierge confirmed). The carrier did not contact me while "struggling" to find the address neither.
Anyway he did not show up on Fri either and the parcel got eventually picked up the following Mon when the driver all of the sudden found the address.
This delayed the delivery by 4 days.
My opinion is that the driver was not bothered to come for the collection as I don't believe in the age of advanced technology driver cannot find an address of a huge apartment building.
