£140 for a standard class ticket booked a week in advance from Manchester to London- train arrived 2 hours late and so i was 2 hours late for my train home - but that pushed me into the 'peak time' for returns, so regardless of the fact that it was their fault i was late they tried to charge me an EXTRA £125 for a new ticket !!!
I refused to pay and the train manager threatened to get the police to throw me off the train, i refused and we ended up in a big argument he eventually just ignored me but it was humiliating and very stressful.
AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL and - its double the cost of flying.

Ordered over £2K worth of equipment for my mother in law, took 3 weeks to arrive despite telling them that it had to be there in 2 weeks and only arrived in 3 after 4 or 5 chasing phone calls.
But the delivery guys were very helpful and the equipment is good - which got them back from 2 starts to three!
