Nothing to show for our money......Except headaches

We ordered an exercise bike from uk sportsimports.co.uk on the 11th August, was delivered on the 14th, plugged in , but never worked. Phoned the company and was asked where? we were plugging the power supply into on the bike, we were told they knew of a problem and that a new adapter had now been modified which you plugged into rear, ours only had one inlet, towards the front of the bike. Later after they supposedly contacted an engineer, we were told they would send us another adaptor in the next couple of working days, (never arrived). telephoned on the 17th to say if no adapter recieved by tomorrow, and no bike working they should collect as goods would not be wanted. sat adapter arrived wrong adapter (both no output anyway) phoned 18th to let company know we no longer wanted bike, told no refunds done on saturdays, asked for her to get returns to ring monday to arrange collection, Phoned again ourselves tuesday 22nd, they had notes on screen and knew we wanted to return product and monies refunded, when they got back to us later in day, we were told its not their policy to refund, and we would end up with the product regardless, now 28th and still waiting to be notified of pick up day and time....this company likes to take money for sub -standard goods, and once they have your money....be warned very hard to get it back, i suggest give this company a very wide berth, dont go there.
