Much better

I've only recently ventured back to Morrisons. I had gone there when they bought my local Safeway and I was horrified with the, franky, rotten fruit and veg.

All the Alan Hanson's in the world weren't going to cure that. However, a couple of weeks ago we were at my friend house for dinner - he's a bit of a foodie and we started talking supermarkets. He told me to try it again and I haven't looked back since - Ok, the building is a bit shabby, but the fresh fish and meat is fantastic!

What makes something great even better....? Tomato Sauce? Well fantasy football is better than Tomato Sauce. You can pit your wit again the smart and the stupid to see who would best select a football team. It's not football manager, it's a very different kettle of fish - but I think even better. It gives you a genuine reason to watch the dross of the premiership on match of the day to help pick up bargains!

THE BEST

It's the one and only place for news. It's sometimes not as up to date as other websites because the BBC use something called "sources" that many other news websites aren't too fused with, but that does mean everything you read there has an authority. I'm on this site every hour and I love it!

Friendsreunited

I wish it was better!

I tried Friends Reunited again the other day having not been on there for years and although it's improved a little it's way behind Facebook which is a real shame. The look and feel is good, but they seem to fall with the little things. An example. Try searching a person and it brings up "memory boxes" of a load of random people. I think a lot of people would turn back/drop off at this point - there is a link to get you to just people, but do people really want to spend time learning the in's and out's of different websites - everything should "just work" the way apple does - anything else seems outdated now.

Save Money Every Time!

I've had Compare & Save set in my favourites for about 3 years now and I've used them a few times. I started a couple of years ago when I noticed they had fix interest credit card from mbna that Money Supermarket didn't have (which I got and sorted my finances with). Since then I've been back to Compare & Save for a 0% Tesco purchase card and even given stoozing a little try (although with savings interest rates what they are this not going to make me much money). Great simple website.

Vodafone

I'd never switch!

I've been with Vodafone for about 10 years now and they have never let me down. What do you look for in a mobile network? 1. Good network coverage. 2.Fair contracts. 3.Great handsets. On all of these fronts I have always had a great service from Vodafone. There was a very short window were o2 had the iphone exclusively which prevented me upgrading for about 2 months, but I don't blame Voda for that. Overall, Highly recommended!

Screwfix

Use it all the time

I've moved from the huge catalogue to the internet to their stores and I've always been happy with them. Quality products, great range and reasonable prices (watch out B&Q and Wickes)

Tripadvisor

Too easy to lie!

I'm sure this doesn't happen all the time, but I was visiting uni friends in Manchester recently and had to use a hotel with a very poor TripAdvisor rating. It was excellent! I honestly can't say I had a problem at all - all the comments about rudeness seemed misplaced (the owner was a little hard of hearing - but there was no intent to ignore). The other comment about noise from other rooms was physical impossible due to the layout of the hotel - Not great as far as TripAdvisor goes!

Partypoker

Very good

I started using Partypoker about 5 years ago and I haven't really used anything else since. I always seem to find something new to keep me entertained and if there's nothing new there's always Poker - I honestly can't fault them.

Amazing fresh food

I don't eat in Pret every day of the week, but I love their food as and when I do get to go in there. The food combinations are always great (in the sandwiches) and everything they sell is well sourced and topnotch. In terms of the price, yes it's high - but certainly not the worst in London (especially given the quality)

Very funny cards

I used these guys the other day when I'd forgot to get the good lady wife a card and it was brilliant. Short notice and the card arrived on time - and even if it hadn't I could claim I bought in weeks ago and they cocked up. Brilliant - get out of jail free!

Saving saving savings - oh....AND CASHBACK!

I love this website - I basically get cash for buying things I was already going to get! I'm on course this year to get about £500 back - although I have to be very careful not to buy just to get the savings (because if I wasn't going to send the money anyway it's not really a saving is it?)

Ebay

Fees seems high

Yes, I know they've just had a free listing weekend, but without that I must say that the fees on ebay seem to be getting higher and higher. It will not take much for them to lose the occasional sellers like me as soon and someone else offers the same basic premise slightly cheaper!

Rightmove

Great for noisy neighbours

Rightmove is a cracking website for people looking to buy, sell or just be noisy! I use it all the time, because it just seems to have more listings than all the other property websites.

Halfords

Great service

I love the people who work in Halfords. They always seem to have time for you no matter what and they always seem to be able to fix a problem. One tiny example. I went in there at the weekend to get a wheel fixed on the bike policy I have - it had a puncture. Anyway, bank holiday weekend etc, they didn't have the right innertube, so what did they do? They actually fixed the old one with a puncture repair kit! Incredible service - Top marks!

Amazon

Brilliant, but getting worrying big!

I love Amazon. I think their customer service, range etc is on the money, but it scares me how big they are getting. They seem to be able to destroy the competition and at some in the near future will get to a point approaching a monopoly!
