I am sat on hold while I type this message, this is now the 6th experience I have had with Yodel. 5 of those 6 deliveries haven't showed up, and have required me to spend my time chasing them.
The worst one was a bed from Dreams, first of all they didn't show after we waited in all day, no phone call to let us know. We finally got hold of someone who told us they had lost our bed. We awaited a redelivery date, when we got one, the same thing happened again. We waited in all day, they didn't show, they didn't call us. We found this time that they had not picked up the bed from the depot. They didn't bother telling us though.
Third time, waited in all day, didn't show, THREE TIMES IN A ROW. I was expecting Jeremy Beadle to appear then I realised he had sadly died not so long ago.
Not one of these times did they call us to tell what had happened, it took us to chase them up about it. I wasted 3 days, and countless hours ringing around. Dreams actually even gave us £500 back, which helped ease the frustration, but the level of incompetency is unreal.
This week I paid extra for a next day delivery from Amazon, imagine my horror when I saw the dreaded initials HDNL (this is the same company as Yodel if you didn't realise).
They have lived up to their reputation, I am now on Thursday, 2 failed delivery attempts to my office where there is always someone in, never missed a delivery from ANY other company EVER. Somehow Yodel have messed up twice this week, 'left a card' which I think roughly translates to 'driver couldn't be arsed'.
I am with the guy below who is calling for a national boycott. They don't deserve to be in business, and merchants should wise up and stop using them for anything, it makes them look just as bad.
