We ordered a new cooker and it was delivered in the allotted time, the only good thing about the whole experience. When it came to fitting the appliance the guy had connected everything up and it was all working, however he said it did not pass the electrical test therefore he would have to disconnect the cooker and we would have to arrange for an electrician to come and fit it. He said "ring one up and they'd be here in an hour", what an idiot. He also had the cheek to answer the customer service questions himself before passing the electronic device to me to sign. We got the electrician round 2 days later. He said 1: that the wires were left in a VERY dangerous way 2: that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the electrics and 3: that the delivery man had taken the cooker specific allen key needed to fit the electrics with him, therefore the electrician had to leave without being able to fit the cooker.
After ringing up currys customer services they have re-arranged the fitting to take place in 2 days time. 4 days after the cooker was initially delivered. 4 days without a being able to boil, roast, fry or grill anything. Have we been offered any compensation, no.
Absolutely disgusting service.
