Phone posted Thursday, received by them on Friday and paid full amount on Tuesday. My phone was in good cosmetic condition in working order, so I wasn't expecting a deduction - however some other companies still try it on.
Good service - although it took them a while to confirm receipt of the phone.
Have used UKmail in the region of 20 times, and most times there are no issues. However, a growing number of parcels have arrived a day late, and so far two items have been completely lost.
Drivers are friendly, however, and service is better than some other couriers.
After having the usual 10% reduction for a previous order I sent in to O2 Recycle, I'd read from other review sites that they no longer did this - and after reading their terms saw that there was no longer a 10% deduction made for cosmetic damage.
I decided to send in my Z10 to them, and got them to do a price match with another recycler, which they approved. It was received by them on Friday morning at 11:55am, and 15 minutes later got an email to confirm the full amount would be paid into my account the same day, which it was, three hours later.
A definite improvement over the service previously offered, and the quickest I have ever received payment from any mobile recycler.
Definitely the worst company I have ever booked train tickets off - on a recent booking, many of the tickets I ordered were not issued as booked - so they arranged to reissue the tickets. However, this was for the wrong date, and so were useless.
Following this, as it was too late to reissue them again, I had to buy a new ticket at the station and send in the wrong ticket for a refund. However - even though I was owed this refund due to an error on their part - they take 28 days to issue a refund, which is absolutely ridiculous.
Other train companies I have booked with have issued refunds within a week, so there really is no excuse for such a long delay. Emails to them often go unanswered or responses can take up to 1-2 weeks. Telephone support isn't much better, with lengthy wait times and rude/dismissive staff.
Not a company I shall ever be using, ever again.
Many of the companies I order from use Yodel for deliveries (sadly) and it is on very rare occasion that I have received my parcels on time.
I frequently order from Amazon, and pay for one-day delivery, and on several occasions have used Yodel and not once have arrived on the delivery date. They think it is just acceptable to have the customer wait in all day, and just say they'll definitely deliver the day after.
I assume it's cheaper for companies to use Yodel rather thank other couriers - however it really puts me off from ordering from companies who use Yodel. Terrible service.
I've used them seven times to send parcels and three times there hasn't been a problem.
On a couple of occasions however, they have said that they tried to deliver but nobody was in to take delivery - some of these parcels were going to large companies which were open all day - others to households where someone has been in all day.
There also seems to be issues where I have paid for a signature to be taken on delivery - on two occasions, the courier has just scribbled 'HTC' in the signature box, meaning 'Handed to Customer'. After asking the recipients, they were indeed handed the package but not asked for a signature. For ebay items over a certain value, having a trackable service with signature is essential for seller protection purposes - and just having the courier do this is unacceptable, especially when I have paid for a signature on delivery.
Calling an 0871 number is expensive too, especially when there is quite a long queue.
