booking error, money frozen

Tried to book a flight with Luthansa through the bravofly, the price was mentioned satisfied me. Booked and money was frozen immediately. Received booking confirmation and was almost happy, but after several minutes received a message saying that booking was canceled due to some unknown reasons. Re-booking wasn't possible. Money still frozen for 1 week till now. I already bought a ticket through Lufthansa's page 50 eur cheaper. At least what bravofly could do is to give instructions to the bank in order to release the money because the deal did not happen, but unfortunately redirected to my bank instead :( Last year I experienced this problem with bravofly, but the money wasn't taken from my account and even frozen because the deal didn't happen and I was able to rebook with them. WONDER!

Dear Andrey,

Thank you for your email and I'm sorry we were unable to confirm your booking.

We use a system called "temporary credit limit" where the amount the customer should pay upon booking is simply 'frozen' and not withdrawn from the customer's available funds.

It affects the availability of your card, however it means that technically no charge is made to your credit card until your booking is confirmed, therefore it doesn’t have any effect on your interest or clearing period. In your case the booking was automatically cancelled as there was a problem during the security controls in our system. We sent the request to your bank immediately (on the 5th of September) in order to recredit your account.

Unfortunately it can take several days to return the available credit and we are in the hands of the card provider or bank as to how many days the process could take and we recommend you check with your bank as it can vary.
