The initial delivery date was confirmed by phone (nice touch) and delivered on time.
Unfortunately, the fitting kit was missing from delivery and didn't arrive for another 3 days. The edging (from another supplier) also failed to turn up and needed to be chased. The result was that I was unable to complete the job on time.
Floorchoice were quick to answer the phone, were professional and quick to resolve the issues.
I ordered a Cisco switch at 13:00 on Friday and chose the 2-3 day delivery. Just as I was about to hit confirm, I noticed the company deceitfully added a ~£10 insurance policy to the basket.
On Tuesday morning (2 working days later) I got an email saying the item had been despatched. On Thursday morning, the bpost tracking showed a "delivery failed" message so I used the online forms to try to contact Pixmania. By 14:00, I had no response so tried again and then started looking at this site. Fortunately, I found Rachel@Pixmania's response explaining the ambiguous tracking message and how to manually lookup the tracking code with Yodel.
The item turned up on Thursday afternoon, 6 (4 working) days after ordering.
The item shipped with an Euro 2pin to UK adapter in the outer packing which only just works with the power adapter supplied. This means you need a socket with a loads of clearance and may affect the cooling of the power adapter. Because of this, I would send it back but don't trust Pixmania could actually deal with this.
Given that my item wasn't especially cheap, it's just not worth the risk to order from Pixmania again.
